After the shower, we made a super quick trip over to Pier Park in Panama City Beach, FL to meet up with Mason, Robin and Harper Pledge (who is a month younger than Kate). Mason was the best man in our wedding and Justin has been close friends with both Mason and Robin since college. We got a call earlier this week that they were going to be in Santa Rosa beach and asked if we could meet them for dinner. I wasn't looking forward to the two house car ride there and back, but I really wanted to see the Pledge family and I'm so glad that we made the trip to see them.
The girls immediately hit it off once they met, the adults all picked up where we left off since last seeing them a few years ago. We arrived at Pier Park about 5:00 and met the Pledge's for dinner at the Margaritaville Restaurant.
After dinner, we went out on the beach to take a couple pictures of Mason, Robin and Harper and in return, we got a couple of ourselves!

The bribe for the girls to get them to smile and cooperate for beach pictures was to walk down to the "park" and do the rides. The girls picked out the rides they wanted to do, like riding with their daddy's on the Ferris Wheel, and just had a great time running all around until it was time to go home. We ended up staying until after 9:00 so we had a late drive back, but it was worth it! We had a fantastic time and we can't wait to see them again (hopefully next year)!
