Kate's 9th Birthday!

We recently celebrated Kate's 9th birthday!  I can't believe how fast these last nine years have gone and the birthday girl was quick to remind us that next year she will be double digits. :) I was so sick the weekend of Kate's birthday party so I was unable to be at the party but thankfully Daddy and Gigi took care of everything.  I do not have many pictures to share but it doesn't matter because the birthday girl had a blast!

Kate decided to have her party at Skate World and her big present from mommy and daddy was a pair of roller blades! She had a great group of friends at her party and came home with a lot of awesome gifts!

Group picture! (Starting top left: Izzy, Elli, Sterling, Emily, Hayden, Caroline, Audrey, Kendal, Noelle, Kate and Anna Kate).  Not pictured was Kaylin, her friend from Good Samaritan that came later.

The birthday girls!
Lots of wonderful presents!
On Monday, I was feeling a little bit better and was able to help Kate celebrate!
Granddaddy brought the birthday princess Chick-fil-a for breakfast that morning!

A couple pictures before school - with and without her birthday crown.
Monday evening, we invited our family over to celebrate at our house with pizza and cupcakes (Kate's request).  We had such a great time!

Happy 9th Birthday, Kate!  We love you!

Grandparent's Day at Roberts!

Last Friday, the kids celebrated Grandparent's Day at school.  Mimi, Gigi and Granddaddy were all able to eat lunch with Kate and Mason and see their classrooms!  The only downside was Mason's lunch was at 10:30 and Kate's wasn't until 1:30 so there was three hours in between lunches!  Yikes.  Our kids are so lucky that both sets of grandparents live here and able to attend their special events!

Happy Grandparent's Day!

Maverick

Here are a few pictures of our furriest family member.  He is the sweetest dog and puts up with a lot from the kids!  Accidents in the house are getting fewer (thank goodness) and he is able to sleep all during the night without needing to go out. Whew.  The first several weeks and even months have been challenging but we are enjoying little Maverick.

 "Helping" me unload the groceries.

He loves this chew toy but gets it stuck on his head all the time.
That tongue hangs out quite often...not sure why.
Just a ninja and his dog.  A typical Saturday at our house.
 Maverick is a great snuggler.

Not a huge fan of baths, but they happen often in our house!  Momma doesn't want a stinky dog (or a stinky house).
Where we found him after he had an accident in the house.  He knew he was in trouble.

 Snuggling with his daddy.

We love our little Mav!

Happy Father's Day!

I want to wish this special guy a Happy Father's Day!  One day Kate and Mason will realize how lucky they are to call him dad.  He coac...
