Trunk or Treat 2011

Tonight our church did trunk-or-treat for the first time in a while. It was so good to do it again and the kids had a blast. There were plenty in attendance overall and several parents, grandparents, and friends had wonderful decorations. Kate and Audrey had a blast and Mr. Raymond told them it was just an appetizer for tomorrow night. We have plans to trick-or-treat with the Reavis' and I am so excited. The girls just love each other and it was so much fun watching them hold hands and run from one car to the next saying "trick-or treat" and "thank you". By the end of the night, their buckets were so full of candy they would drag them every couple of steps.

Kate's Artwork

This evening I was going through all of Kate’s artwork that we have collected over the past year or so and decided to take pictures of them. Of course we haven’t kept everything, but these are the ones I would never dream of getting rid of (at least not anytime soon).  Most of them make me smile and others remind me of how big my little girl is getting.

School Costume Party and Halloween Treats

Thursday, Good Samaritan had a costume parade and fall party for the youngest classes and Justin and I were able to go. I dressed my little FSU cheerleader up and I have to say she was the cutest one there!

Before the costume parade, the parents went to the great room to hear a couple fall songs that the kids had been practicing.  After the short program, the kids lined up and marched around the parking lot to show off their outfits.

Kate loves to march and she and Miss Sam lead the way for the rest of the participants.

Sterling was recently moved into another class, but it was good to see her dressed up in her giraffe costume.

This morning, Kate was looking too cute in her Halloween outfits so I took a couple pictures.

"Trick or-Treat!"

Thank you Aunt Katie for the adorable shirt!

Thanks again Gigi and Granddaddy for the Halloween treats!

One Kitty Down, Two to Go

I got news this week that daycare kitty was no longer in good condition and we decided to throw it away. Kate had bitten her nose off so the stuffing was coming out - yuck. Kitty had been in poor condition for a while so it was just a matter of time. I've debated about ordering another kitty since we no longer have one that can carry the "Pretty Kitty" title; it's hard to believe how good they used to look. I do realize that Kate will get old enough where she won't need Kitty everywhere, but I want one decent looking one to save. Kendal Covan has the exact same kitty and everytime Kate sees hers, she's shoots Kendal a "how dare you take my kitty" look and tries to grab it.

Broadview Assisted Living Visit

Sunday was SOS (Serving on Sundays) and our small group decided to join others from Timberlane and visit Broadview, an assisted living facility.  We have a couple church members that live there and we visited with them and other residents.  Kate and a couple of her friends went around and said "Hi" and helped hand out mini pumpkins.

So cute!  Audrey, Kate and Maddox

After our visit, Matt and Amanda invited us over to their house for pizza. I was disappointed more from our group didn't join us at Broadview, but we had a great time hanging out with the Threadgills (Ben & Lindsey), the Sapps (Matt, Amanda, Emeline and Nolan), the Reavis' (Raymond, Tracy & Audrey), and the Mundies (Daniel, Katie & Maddox). The Mundies recently moved to Tallahassee this summer and have been
a great addition to our group.

I hope everyone had a great weekend like we did!

Wedding Weekend!

Uncle Jordan and Aunt Katie are married! It was a beautiful wedding and the weather was picture perfect. Thursday, I took off of work to help mom and dad with decorating Bradley's for the Rehearsal Dinner. Friday, I enjoyed a wonderful bridesmaid luncheon at Goodwood and Saturday was busy with all the wedding preparations and the ceremony at Southwood.  I have so many pictures of the weekend, but here are several of my favorites.

Love the pink and green theme.

The bridesmaids each received a pink robe and an ivory shawl with our monograms on both!

My mom did a fantastic job with the rehearsal dinner and of course she had plenty of help from my dad.  Everyone had a great time!

An added bonus to the weekend was being able to see my cousins.  Kayla (left) and her husband Wes came down from Boston and Tiffany (second from left) came down from Atlanta with her family.

Andrew (Tiffany's youngest) and Kate had a great time playing together.

The Wedding at the Southwood Plantation House.

Here's what my little flower girl did most of the afternoon - watching her Mickey Mouse dvd.
Kate didn't do as well as I had hoped in the ceremony, but it was a long day and she is only 2.  I was hoping to get some professional pictures of Kate in her dress, but she was not willing to cooperate with Terri (the photographer).  I was so disappointed.  Luckily for me, my mom was able to get a good picture of the three of us all dressed up.

Mimi and Papa took Kate home with them shortly after the ceremony and poor Kate was ready to go.  It would have been fun to see her dancing with Audrey on the dance floor, but I'm not sure if Kate would have lasted much longer.

We ended up taking most of the pictures after the ceremony and I was able to jump in and take a couple of Katie and Jordan.

Congrats Jordan and Katie!

Happy Father's Day!

I want to wish this special guy a Happy Father's Day!  One day Kate and Mason will realize how lucky they are to call him dad.  He coac...
