It has been months since I last posted but I'm going to try and play catch up and highlight what our family has been up to since the beginning of the year!
March was an exciting month because of spring break. We went on our first Disney cruise which was so much fun! Our sweet friends, the Mundies, invited us to join them on a Friday through Monday cruise the last weekend of spring break. We drove down to Port Canaveral on Friday morning and boarded the ship at lunch time.

As each family arrives on board, an announcement is made over the loud speaker, "Disney would like to welcome the Evers family aboard" and the crew members are lined up clapping.
There is a several hour delay before your luggage arrives at your room so we used that time to eat lunch at Animation Cafe and explore the ship. The kids asked for a Mickey bar after every meal we ate on the ship. :)
One of the places we checked out was the Kids Club. This was available all day long and fully staffed by Disney crew members. We would drop the kids off for an hour or so while we got ready for dinner and one evening Mason wanted to go just by himself while there rest of the group went to an after dinner show. I only took a couple pictures but the Kids Club was filled with different rooms with amazing games, activities and movies. Whatever a kid would want to do, it was in the Kids Club.
The few pictures I took in the Kids Club was in the Toy Story room. Parents were allowed to come in for an orientation that first afternoon but after that, parents were only allowed to drop off and pick up.
After we explored the Kids Club, we went up to the pool deck to enjoy the sail away party. Mickey, Minnie and several characters were there singing and dancing as we pulled away from port. It was quite a party!

On the first day, we were docked at Nassau Bahamas. We didn't sign up for any shore excursions so we left the boat to do a little exploring.

We didn't stay long onshore because there wasn't much for kids to do besides look at tourist shops so we headed back to the boat and enjoyed the rest of the day. If we ever go again, I want to do a shore excursion to the Atlantis Resort and spend the day there. Back on the boat, we enjoyed some pool time and completed the Mickey Mystery Activity that sent players all over the ship looking for interactive clues to solve the mystery.
That evening, it was pirate night where everyone (who wants to) dresses up like a pirate. The kids had a lot of fun getting dressed up and I think they look pretty authentic!

The water was freezing but that didn't stop the kids from enjoying it. Disney had built a huge water slide play area out in the water so the dads braved the water and went with all the kids down the slides.
While we were on the island, a huge BBQ meal was prepared for everyone to eat under the pavilions. We enjoyed a delicious lunch and then headed back to the boat early to play at the (warmer) pool. It was half as crowded at the pool because most people were still on the island so it was fun to go multiple times down the Aquaduck (on board water slide) without much of a wait because the lines were so short.
We had the best time on the Disney Cruise and I hope we can go again sometime!
It was a spring break to remember!
We arrived back in Port Canaveral early Monday morning and had the early departure time so we made it back home by early afternoon. The very next weekend, Justin and I went to Atlanta to see George Strait in concert! I have always wanted to go to his concert and it finally worked out! We invited the Sapp, Reavis and Mills families to go with us and we all had the best time. It was nice to have a little adult only getaway.
