Daddy's Birthday and Father's Day!

This has been a busy week...we celebrated Justin's birthday and Father's Day!
Lunch with the birthday boy at the Wharf Express...yummy!

On Friday morning, dad and Justin stopped by school for Donuts with Dad (and Granddads).

Justin brought home the gifts the kids had made - too cute not to share.

We love our daddy!
Hanging out with daddy on the "tractor".

On Saturday night, we invited the Reavis family and the Mullinax family over for a cookout.  It has been a long time since we've had anyone over (embarrassed to admit) and we had such a great time.  We promise it will do it again...soon!
I bribed the kids with cookie cake to get these two pictures - it worked!
Some of my favorite dads and kids.
Today, my mom hosted our family for lunch to celebrate Father's Day.  My father-in-law was out of town this weekend so hopefully we will have a belated Father's Day celebration with him soon!  Mason asked where Papa was. :)
Took this before we left for church this morning.  Love these three!

Before our delicious lunch, we ran outside in 90 degree weather and faked it 'til we made it for a couple pictures.
Love this picture!  A big thanks to our photographer, Gigi.
Can't thank God enough for our dad.  The best there is!

Granddaddy and company.

The kids and I are so blessed to have all these men in our lives.  Happy Father's Day!

Family Beach Trip 2015

The first weekend in June, my family headed over to Destin for our annual beach trip.  This year, our family unit was much smaller since my cousins and my grandmother were unable to make it.  We stayed once again at the Embassy Suites and enjoyed a fun weekend together.  We spent most of our two full days at the beach with a little bit of pool time in between.  We ate at our favorite restaurants (Surf Hut, Crab Trap and Pompano Joes) and even enjoyed a little bit of shopping at the outlets.

I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I have in the past but I wish I had.  Even so, the ones we got were cute!
On Saturday, there was a lot of green seaweed so the water was less than desirable...you can see the green tinted water. Blah.  But that didn't stop the kids from having a great time.

We went to the Crab Trap Saturday night for dinner which is one of the kid's favorites because of the playground on the beach.  So fun!

One of my favorite pictures from the weekend.

On Sunday, the seaweed was gone and the water was perfect!
Reminds me of the Caribbean  - can you believe this view?!
Not a wave to be found.

We enjoyed another night out on the town at Pompano Joes on Sunday night - delicious!

Mason was wiped out and missed ice cream dessert that night.

We all had a great time and can't wait until we go back next year!

Dance Recital 2015

At the end of May, Kate had her second dance recital.  We were unable to make it to the rehearsal since we were at the beach with the Mundies, but Kate did a fantastic job on Sunday for the "real" performance.

A couple pictures before the show...

Noelle and Kate (they were in the same dance class).
Sterling and Kate (Sterling was in a difference class - each class had different costumes).

A few during the show...

 I love all her expressions.

And a few after the show...
Kate and Noelle (again) with their flowers.

Mimi hosted us for dinner after the show and set up a special pink table and had ballerina cupcakes just for Kate.
Great job Kate!  Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you!

A big thank you to everyone that came to see Kate perform.  I'm not sure if this was her last performance or if she will want to continue.  I guess we will wait and see.

Happy Father's Day!

I want to wish this special guy a Happy Father's Day!  One day Kate and Mason will realize how lucky they are to call him dad.  He coac...
