Random Happenings

We've had a lot of fun over the last several weeks and I wanted to share a few pictures.  Sometimes it's the simple things that are the most memorable.  One Saturday morning, Gigi and Granddaddy took Kate to the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra's rehearsal, which are open to the public. Kate always enjoys going and she even made her own flute out of paper - adorable.

Later that night, Justin and I went to Michelle's birthday party.  It's nice to get out and enjoy a night with great friends every now and then.  Michelle (far right) is getting married in a couple months so I'm excited about her upcoming wedding.
The first of January, they moved little man up to the 2s and 3s class at school.  It's mostly boys in this class and we have started to get reports of Mason hitting and shoving his friends.  I try to remind him each morning to have "nice hands" and be sweet to his friends before I leave him at school.  This was Mason's first project in his new class:
Mason has really started chatting lately and will say complete sentences with no problem.  He loves to pray at bedtime and routinely prays for each family member (calling everyone by name) and Santa.  Haha.  He has also started tattle-telling and crying to me that "Daddy's being mean" when he gets disciplined.  It's so cute.
Two of Mason's favorite things - his trike and zebra hat.

One morning at school, he apparently made quite the impression on the teachers.  Mrs. Leah (his teacher in the baby class) was picking a student to hold the flag during the morning devotional.  Apparently Mason jumped up, ran to the front of the room and stood under Mrs. Leah shouting "Pick Me!  Pick Me!"  Needless to say, she choose Mason. :)
The other morning, Uncle Jordan sent me this sweet picture of Kate reading to Camden.  She loves her "Camie".

For his birthday, Nanny gave Mason this adorable train outfit.  I didn't get his picture taken professionally in it like I had planned, but I made sure to get one with my camera!  It looks so adorable on him and he loves anything with a train on it.
 My handsome boy.

One warm Saturday afternoon, Justin and I took the kids to Tom Brown park for some family time.  We took a walk around the pond to watch the turtles and then spent some time at the playground before heading to dinner at Piggy's.  It was the perfect family outing!

Park fun!

Happy Valentine's Day 2015!

Happy Valentine's Day!  We have had a great weekend so far and it's not over yet! Friday, the kids had Valentines parties at school.  Mason picked out Jake and the Neverland Pirates valentines and Kate picked out Disney princess ones.  Kate had a special assignment to make a valentine's box to take to school. We went to several different stores and finally settled on a Rainbow Unicorn box from Hobby Lobby.

I thought it turned out really cute!

Once everyone got home Friday night, we went through all the valentine's the kids got that day.  I thought this one was so creative (it was my favorite):

Today, Kate and I went shopping with Gigi while Daddy and Mason went over to Mimi and Papa's house to help with some projects around the house.  We had a great time shopping and afterwards, both kids went over to my parent's house to spend the night.  Justin and I are cooking a fabulous steak dinner and looking forward to a relaxing night!  Thank you Gigi and Granddaddy for keeping our little valentine's tonight.

A couple weeks ago, my cuties were dressed in their red outfits for church and I couldn't resist taking a couple pictures.  I love when they coordinate!

And their Valentine's shirts for school:
"Ladies Man" is so true.
A couple weeks ago, we met Lexi for a Valentine's mini session off Pisgah Church road (love that location).  The pictures turned out so good and I was relieved the kids were willing to cooperate that morning.

My favorites:

Hope everyone has a great Valentine's Day!

Happy (Belated) Birthday, Nanny!

Last Sunday, we got together for lunch at my parent's house to celebrate Nanny's birthday.  Poor Nanny has been sick with the flu for weeks, so we waited for her to fully recover so she could enjoy the party!  The kids had a great time playing outside, riding in the four wheeler and bouncing in Camden's bounce house.

Helping Nanny blow out her birthday candles:

Happy Birthday Nanny!  We love you!

Happy Father's Day!

I want to wish this special guy a Happy Father's Day!  One day Kate and Mason will realize how lucky they are to call him dad.  He coac...
