Last Day of School

I say this every year but seriously, where did the school year go?  Both Kate and Mason had a great school year and I am going to miss it, especially Kindergarten!  There have been so many fun activities and school events to attend and it has happened in a blink of an eye.

The Kindergarten class had a Luau to celebrate the end of school and I was thankful I was once again able to attend. I'm going to miss Kindergarten - I think it is my favorite year of school (so far)!

She is the BEST teacher and we are so blessed to have been in her class this year.

Memorial Day Weekend 2019

Instead of traveling to Naples like we have for the last several Memorial Days, we stayed home this year.  We enjoyed some time at the pool and we took the boat out one day to fish.
Ready to go out on the boat.
Mason caught a trout - his first fish!

Wiped out from a full day on the boat.
 He loved fishing!

Ball Season!

We have had a busy spring packed with T-Ball and Softball games.  This was Mason's last year in T-Ball and Kate's first year in the kid pitch softball league.

Kate did great in her new softball league.  She worked hard and had a good attitude despite some frustrating games of only getting one at bat the entire game. She played several different positions and has said she would like to try to pitch next year.  I hope she does!  One of the moms on the team took photos of all the girls at most games, so I have several great pictures of Kate playing (that I can't take credit for).  I ended up missing a lot of Kate's games this season because Mason's games were at the same time.  But both kids always had a big cheering section at their games between us and grandparents!

Look at that handsome coach. :)

Kate and Anna Kate love playing on the same team!
Our #1 softball player.

Mason and Camden wrapped up their last season on the t-ball team.  Mason has really grown since last year and has excelled playing baseball.  He can field and hit with the best of them and is looking forward to moving up to the coach pitch league next year.

We are thankful Uncle Jordan is willing to help coach with Chief!  Fingers crossed Mason can get on their team next year!
So much fun playing with your cousin!

Braces Off!

Kate finally got her braces off after a four month delay!  The original plan was to have them removed in February but she was patient and never complained about having to wait.  Dr. Clark was finally ready to take them off today and Kate couldn't be happier.  Her first reaction was "I have horse teeth" when she saw her smile for the first time but that was only because she wasn't used to seeing herself without braces. :)

The staff gave her a goody bag filled with everything she hasn't been able to have over the past year: Starbursts, Skittles, Popcorn, and more!

Happy (brace-free) girl!

3rd Grade Field Trip to Wild Adventures

The big end of the year field trip for Kate's 3rd Grade class was to Wild Adventures!  Daddy was suppose to go but at the last minute he had a training come up that day so I went instead.  It was so much fun hanging out with Kate and her friends, Emily Crump and Emily Jaap.

 Ready for Wild Adventures!
This was Kate's first time on a carter bus and she was super excited that they had a bathroom and tvs to watch movies.
All of the third grader's field trip shirts are color coded.  Kate and Emily C. were in one class and Emily J. was in another.

Riding the safari train.  It was a nice break to ride on the train and cool off since it was so hot that day!

Emily J. said she wanted to ride the Blazer Blast Off but decided at the last minute she wasn't going to.  Katie Boo went anyways and had fun! Brave girl.
It was a long, hot, fun packed day!

Mother's Day 2019

It was another great Mother's Day this year!  Mason's class did a Mother's Day Tea and I was able to take off of work and attend that.  It was the sweetest event!
Mason drew several pictures for me, we had a game to play together (asking each other questions), and they sang a couple songs.  While the last song "My Girl" was playing, everyone got up and went to dance with their moms!
Love this little guy!

 Singing to all the moms.

On Mother's Day, Kate and I wore our matching Lilly dresses. :)

And then we had a family lunch at McAllister's after church!

I think the Cowart family had fallen apart by the time we tried to take a picture but at least we got one with Mimi and Papa!

In honor of Mother's Day, I signed up for a mini photo session with my little munchkins.  I didn't prepare ahead of time so I was scrambling for outfits to wear but I think I was able to pull together a great look!  I always cherish these pictures.

Love these two with all my heart and thankful to be their mommy.

Happy Father's Day!

I want to wish this special guy a Happy Father's Day!  One day Kate and Mason will realize how lucky they are to call him dad.  He coac...
