VPK Graduation - Class of 2015

Kate graduated from VPK today!  It's been a fast four years at Good Samaritan. She is still going to attend this summer, but many of her school friends are going their separate ways this summer so she only has a few more weeks with them.  I'm very excited about her new adventure in Kindergarten but it's bittersweet.  I'm going to miss her being at GSA when I drop off/pick up Mason in the fall.

The graduation ceremony was this morning and we had several family members able to come: Daddy, Gigi, Granddaddy, Mimi, Uncle Jordan and Nanny!  Kate is one lucky girl to have so many supporters.  The ceremony was focused solely on Kate's class today, which I really liked.  It was nice to have a short ceremony and plenty of time to take pictures and enjoy the party afterwards.

After the program upstairs, we all went downstairs to celebrate with a class party and I took lots of pictures!

When she was younger, Kate used to spend a lot of time with Ms. Dawn in her office.  Thankfully its been quite some time since she has been in there.

Sweet Uncle Jordan brought Kate flowers - she was so excited about that!

 Our little graduate!

Kate and Sterling are the best of friends. Both are going to Roberts next year and hopefully will be in the same class!
These three are quite the trio - they were in the 18 month class together at GSA and have been together ever since. We are going to miss "the boy Peyton".  Kate tells me all the time she is going to marry Peyton Griffin.  Haha. Peyton has always been a good friend to Kate.  He's going to Conley next year but hopefully we can keep in touch.

Some of the graduation gifts Kate made:

I love this - all the kids signed a place mat along with pictures of all her classmates and what they want to be when they grow up.  There were several doctors (like Kate), a Ninja (Peyton), a Rock Star (Sterling) and many other creative ideas (Minnie Mouse, Elsa, Policeman, Firefighter, Astronaut and Baseball Player).

Before I left, I took couple pictures of Kate outside:
 She looks so little!

This has been "home" for the last four years.  We will miss GSA but are looking forward to Roberts.

In addition to her flowers from Uncle Jordan, Kate was excited to open a couple more graduation gifts: an owl piggy bank from Nanny (with a little spending money to put in it) and a pearl necklace from Gigi and Granddaddy.

Congrats Katie-Boo!  We are all so proud of you!!

We got back the kid's school pictures and they turned out pretty good.
They both look so grown!

Happy Birthday Aunt Katie!

We wrapped up our busy weekend by celebrating Aunt Katie's birthday a little early.  My parent's had us over for lunch after church and we enjoyed a delicious meal and cupcakes from the Cake Shop.  Nanny and Uncle Jordan weren't able to be there to help us celebrate but we still had a great time.

 Yummy!
When the kids were done, they got down and played while we finished eating.  Mason came walking through in high heels and sucking on a pacifier so I had to take a picture:
It's not a celebration without a couple family pictures:

Happy Birthday Aunt Katie!  We hope you have a great birthday tomorrow!  We love you.

Our Weekend Visit with the Knights

My cousin Tiffany and her family came down this weekend to visit us before they move out to Oklahoma next month.  It's always so much fun when they come into town and Kate and Mason have a blast playing with Caleb, Andrew and Noah.

On Friday night, we all met at Old Town Café for dinner and ended the evening at  Lofty Pursuits for ice cream.  Today, we enjoyed spending the day at Wakulla Springs.  Justin and I hadn't gone in years so I was excited to take the kids.  Mason told me several times before we left that he was going to ride a big boat and he did!

Getting ready to get on the boat.

 Part of the group:
It was a beautiful day to visit the park!
We saw lots of animals - alligators, turtles, birds, fish and even a manatee (my favorite)!
After the boat ride, the kids enjoyed the freezing water before lunch.  Kate cried when we told her it was time to leave.

This evening we met everyone for dinner at Red Elephant, had dessert at Nuberri and then said our goodbyes.  It was such a fun visit and I hope we can do it again before too long.
I wish they weren't moving so far away but we are excited for them and this new adventure!
Safe travels!

Happy Father's Day!

I want to wish this special guy a Happy Father's Day!  One day Kate and Mason will realize how lucky they are to call him dad.  He coac...
