We recently got back from Naples, FL where the Florida Surveying and Mapping Society Conference was this year. We had a great time playing at the pool, spending time at the beach, visiting great grandparents and shopping! Justin, Mimi and Papa spent most of their time at the conference while Kate, Gigi, Grandaddy and I were out enjoying Naples. I'm so thankful my parents were able to come because it made it so much more enjoyable for Kate and I. On Wednesday and Thursday we were able to spend some time with Nene and Pa. Thursday they took us to Everglades City (about an hour south of their house) for lunch - some of the best coconut shrimp I have had!
Kate wrestling an alligator in Everglades City.
On the way back from lunch, we stopped at the tiniest Post Office - it serves approx 900 people who have to stop by and pick up their mail.
The pool was one of Kate's favorite activities. We got out there right when it opened (at 8am) and had the place to ourselves.
Kate would crawl in and out of pool - perfect for a baby!
Kate also went to the beach for the first time.
After visiting with Gaga, we had to rush back so Justin and I could attend the conference banquet.
Overall it was a great trip...we can't wait to see where the conference is next year!
