Once again, another month has come and gone! I haven't been as diligent in updating my blog as usual and there were a few things I want to share...
Mason is always interested in helping daddy any chance he gets. This particular evening, daddy had purchased a new drill so Mason was trying it out.
Ladies man:
One the way to school one morning he asked me if he could have a party with 58 girls!
One Sunday Kate and Gaby were dressed alike. Gaby's mom, Mrs. Andrea, snapped a picture. Pretty girls!
There's a new brand of pizza that daddy likes and on the back of the pizza box is a paper mustache. Daddy cut it out and of course, everyone had to try it on. :)
Lately, Kate has gotten in trouble for saying "This is boring" or "I'm not having any fun". One particular Wednesday night she was in a bad mood about going to church and told me she didn't want to go to church because it was boring. I quickly responded that she was sitting in our bible class that night since she thought her class was boring (I was proud of myself for this creative punishment). She tried her hardest to sweet talk us into letting her go to class and then pretended to be asleep when we arrived at church that night. Ha! She "enjoyed" an adult class on Revelation that night with us. We haven't heard that phrase since that night!
Kate has a very sweet side and it came out on Valentine's Day. She said this was one of her favorite holidays and she was very excited about making cards and pictures.
Kate and I enjoyed making a few Valentine's crafts.
Gigi's Valentine's Card.
All of us girls in our Valentine's shirts.
The Sunday before Valentine's everyone was wearing red.
My handsome little man: "Future Mr. Right"
Kate also made cards for Nanny, Gaga and Pa that we mailed out.
Love her attention to detail.
A picture of Kate and Gaga.
I didn't take a picture of Pa's card but she drew a neat design on it.
Dad and I on our annual Valentine's Day lunch. One of my favorite traditions. This year we enjoyed a (cheap) lunch at El Jalisco! Yum!
Kate even drew a special card for one of her friends, Mason Bennett. Mason was in Kate's Kindergarten class last year and goes to Killearn Kids. When I showed daddy this, he told Kate not to be kissing any boys because her lips would fall off. :)
Working hard on Mason B.'s card.
Kate's self portrait...complete with high heels!
We were lucky to enjoy the season opener for FSU baseball one Sunday afternoon.
Go Noles!
We always have a great time at the baseball games. We are hoping to make it to at least one FSU softball game this season too!
Lately, we have had a lot of things ordered and delivered in big boxes. The kids have each laid claim to a box and have the best time playing with them.
Flying an airplane.
Drive in movie.
Looks so comfy.
In February, I also had to say farewell to one of my best work friends, Marleni. She and I have grown close after working together for two years at Revenue but she's off to bigger and better things. She accepted a job at the Florida Clerks of Court Corporation and I am excited to see where this will take her. Although we won't see each other daily, I know we will get together for lunches and get togethers as often as possible.
A couple mornings in February, I took both kids to school which usually means a early morning trip to Chick-fil-a or Dunkin Donuts for breakfast!
On the drive back from breakfast, the sun was in Mason's eyes so Kate let him borrow her rainbow sunglasses. He looked so cute in her big glasses so she asked to take a picture of him.
As we were pulling into Good Sam one of these mornings, Mason asked me to let him get up on the console and stand up through the sunroof. I asked him where he came up with that idea and he told me that's what Granddaddy let's him do each morning. The secret is out!
What an entrance!
The last weekend in February, Camden came over and spent the entire day and night with us while Aunt Katie and Uncle Jordan were helping with a fundraiser. We all had a great day together and Camden told me on Sunday that he didn't want to go home. :)
Sweet cousins.
And because I can't resist...I asked Justin to take a picture with me at our softball practice. It's so much fun playing together on a team.
February was a busy month!
