We just completed two weeks of swimming lessons at the Killearny Way Pool. This year, we signed up both Kate and Mason. I am really proud of both of them and the night before our last class Kate started swimming on her own!!
Ready for class to start!
(Mason looks a little nervous).
It was nice having both kids in lessons at the same time although it was hectic trying to get home, eat dinner and be at the pool by 7 each night. I was concerned on the first night because there were only two teachers for 15 kids, but they brought in another instructor the second night and divided the group up into three classes so there were no more than 5 kids in a class. Mason was in the youngest class (and he was the youngest student) and Kate was in the intermediate class.

Mason:
Kicking was Mason's favorite part of each class.
Doing "bobs" (going underwater) with his teacher, Mary.
He's off!
Patiently waiting his turn.
Kate:
Great job Kate and Mason!
The day after their last lesson, they practiced their new skills at the pool. They are swimming better and better each day! I'm so proud of Kate and her diligence in practicing every chance she gets and I'm amazed at Mason jumping in with no hesitation and "swimming" under water.
