Ft. Walton Beach Weekend

Last weekend, we drove in torrential downpours to meet the Milligan family in Ft. Walton Beach for a quick trip.  Although the weather was terrible, we enjoyed spending time with Ben, Beth and Brady.  Justin and I hadn't seen Ben and Beth since their wedding in June of 2009.  Where has the time gone?!

On Saturday morning, we drove over to Ft. Walton and met Ben and Beth at their condo.  After a long lunch catching up, we drove to our hotel to try to check in.  I had searched the internet for a hotel close to where Ben and Beth were staying and settled on the Wyndham.  It was a bad experience and I don't recommend that place.  Anyway...after spending a couple hours at the hotel and finally checking in, we changed into our bathing suites and met the Milligans at the beach.  The rain had finally stopped for a short time so we took advantage!
Ben, Beth and Brady (I love his grumpy expression)
A close up of Mr. Brady - such a happy and friendly baby!
The boys playing in the sand.
Mason finally warmed up to the beach after crying the first 30 min for us to hold him.  Hallelujah!

Love these two!

After Kate had been swimming for a while, I noticed she came up beside me on the beach and proceeded to strip down naked.  What is it with her?! Apparently she couldn't take all the sand in her bathing suit anymore. Haha.

Cute little hiney!

We ate dinner that night at the Crab Trap and met them again for breakfast the next morning before we headed home.  We tried a new place for breakfast - The Pancakery and it was delicious! We can't wait to try it again!
The Pancakery offers an M&M Pancake for kids.  Perfect for my two!

I wish the weather would have been better but that didn't stop us from having a great time! We can't wait to see the Milligans again (hopefully next year)!
