I can't believe Kate is already 3 months old! Just recently Kate has discovered the TV and has learned to hold her pacifier in her mouth better. We took some pictures beside her Koala in the morning, did some Christmas shopping, and then Kate went to Mrs. Betsy's house for a couple hours. That evening we went over to Mimi and Papa's house (Justin's parents) to spend some time with Uncle Pat and Aunt Sharon. I think I'm almost done with Christmas shopping, but wrapping everything is another story!

Church Christmas Party
Last night was our annual church Christmas Party. I was so excited about Kate's outfit (a Christmas tutu), which she proceeded to spit up on twice before we left the house. Oh well - I did a quick fix with a washcloth and some Febreeze. Audrey and Peyton were there in their adorable Christmas outfits and we all had a picture made with Santa. It's easy at this age because they don't hold up the line telling Santa what they want for Christmas! The first picture is of Kate in her bubblesuit Nanny gave her - I think yesterday was the last day she will be able to wear it since she's getting so long.
Quick Doctor Visit
Last Wednesday Kate and I made a special trip to the doctor's office to have her ears checked. We were concerned she might have had an ear infection but it turned out that they were all clear. She weighed 10 lbs 12 oz and had a great time doing her aerobics on the examining table. I think she likes the sound of the paper when she moves. Check out those rolls!

Recuperating with Uncle Jordan
First Family Trip to Naples
Justin, Kate and I just got back from our first trip to Naples. Although it is a long drive (6 plus hours on a good day), Kate did great and slept most of the trip down and back! We left Thursday night around 5:30 pm and arrived in Naples at midnight. Friday morning, the three of us drove to Estero, FL where we did the usual outlet shopping and trip to Bass Pro. After lunch, we went to Justin's grandmother's house where we spent some time with Gaga, Scooby (Gaga's poodle), Aunt Linda and Uncle Mike.
Saturday, we met Steven and Lisa Osborne (Justin's friends) for lunch at Chilis and then went out to the Evers (Justin's grandparents) for dinner. Justin's Uncle Larry, Aunt Laurie, and cousins Beth, Erica, and Emmalee (Beth's little girl) were also there and got to meet Kate. Emmalee gave Kate a pair of antlers and I think Kate loves them. :)
Sunday we went to church where several people commented "Kate looks like an Evers". We had a great time seeing all the family and I'm so thankful we had a safe trip.

Preparing for Christmas
Last weekend Kate and I went to my parent's house since Justin was hunting at the coast. Kate "helped" my dad put up the Christmas tree and posed for a couple pictures with her snowgirl.

Birthday Weekend
Today is my 27th birthday (when I turn the big 3-0, Kate will be a big 0-3) and it has been a busy weekend. Friday night, Justin and I went to Carrabbas for dinner (my favorite!) where he gave me my birthday present - diamond earrings! He said it was a combined Christmas, birthday, and new baby present all in one.
Saturday morning Kate, mom, and I went to Bradley's Fun Day for some arts and crafts shopping and then back to my parent's house to watch the FSU game. Kate and I stayed there until Justin got back in town from hunting at the coast. Today we went to church, had a wonderful steak dinner at my parent's house, went home where all three of us took a nap, then Reavis family came over to hang out (Raymond, Tracy, and Miss Audrey).
This weekend was also full of firsts - first birthday as a mom and the first night Kate is sleeping in her crib downstairs. I'm interested to see how it goes.

2 Months Old
Today Kate is 2 months old - where has the time gone? We went to the Timberlane Play Group at the Killearn Park this morning and then she and I went to the mall for a little shopping (of coarse Kate is the only one that got anything). Each month we're taking her picture with the Koala bear her Aunt Natasha sent from Austraila.

Strolling on Saturday
2 Month Shots
Friday was Kate's 2 month appointment where she had to get her vaccinations. Justin and I talked about whether to give them all her to her or just pick some, but after talking with her docter, we decided to do all of them. Kate had a quick nap in the waiting room and once we got back in the room, we put her on the examining table and she just played and played until it was time for the shots. The nurse started with the Rotavirus vaccine (which is given orally) and Kate kept spitting out the doses. For the last dose, the nurse had Justin blow in her face to get her to swallow and she started screaming! Since she was already upset, the nurse quickly gave her the three shots in her thighs, and I don't think she really noticed. Once we left the doctor office Kate just slept the rest of the afternoon and had a great time with Mimi and Papa that night (Justin's parents) while Justin and I ran errands.

Bath Time Fun
One of Kate's favorite times of day is bathtime - which I usually try to do in the mornings. As soon as I lay her on the towel beside the sink she'll start smiling because she knows she getting in her tub! She's growing up so fast - this was the first morning I used her tub without the newborn sling.
7 weeks and Sleeping through the Night?
Saturday night Kate went to bed at 10:00 (her usual bedtime) and didn't wake up until 6:15am - a full 8 hours. For the past week or so, her routine has been to go to bed at 10pm and wake up around 4am for an early breakfast and go back down. Hoping for a repeat last night, she and I both went to bed at 10:15 and I didn't hear her "talking" until 7:30am! Yeah Kate!

Kate's First Halloween
Kate didn't dress up this Halloween - mainly because there weren't many costumes that would fit her. A couple Saturday's before Halloween we went to the pumpkin patch with Raymond, Tracy, and Audrey Reavis. On Halloween, the three of us went to my parents house to watch the FSU football game and help pass out candy.
Baby Bible Presentation and Great Grandparents Weekend
The weekend of October 24th was very busy for Justin and I. His grandparents came up from Naples to meet Ms. Kate and spend some time with us. That Sunday at church was the baby dedication/bible presentation which was very special since Kate's grandparents, uncle, and great grandparents were all able to be there. She wore the white gown that Mimi had given me at the church shower.
