Mother's Day 2016

My Mother's Day celebrations (plural) started out with a Mother's Day Tea at Kate's school.  Mrs. Pettway did a wonderful job decorating the classroom and tables and the kids were very excited to show us everything they had made for their moms.

 My beautiful card from Kate:
I love all the kisses. :)

Inside:

How old is your mom? 72
What is your mom's favorite food?  Pasta Yaya (from Red Elephant)
What is your mom's favorite color? Blue
What makes your mom so pretty? My kisses

What TV show does your mom like the best? Wedding dresses (Say Yes to the Dress on TLC)
What does your mom do best? Making hearts

She was also excited to show me the picture she drew of me - I love it too!
Can't get enough of this sweet girl!  She knows how to make her momma feel special!
The next day, I went to Mason's school for their Mother's Day Tea.  The kids had a short program in the church and then we went over to their classroom for a party.

My Mother's Day card from Mason:

My mom's favorite color is: green
My mom's favorite song is: on the phone
My mom's favorite food is: pasta
My favorite food that my mom makes is: chicken pasta (He's referring to Red Elephant's Pasta Yaya but I'll take the credit - haha)
My mom loves to: watch me ride my bike
My favorite thing about my mom is: your kisses & hugs
The funniest thing about my mom: tickles me
I love my mom because: she gives me hugs & kisses

A precious place mat:

My handsome boy knows how to make me feel special too!
On Saturday, my parents invited us over for a family celebration.  They had the pool out and a new slip'n slide that Uncle Jordan showed the kids how to use.

Uncle Jordan decided to show the kids how a pro does the slip'n slide:

Not too bad.

Then Uncle Jordan soaped them up for a super fast ride!

 Wee!

We had a great time celebrating Mother's Day with all the special Mom's in our family!

On Sunday, we went to church and then off to the FSU baseball game!  It was so much fun and a great way to spend the day together.

 Beautiful day for a ballgame!

Mason wanted to wear his FSU hat just like Granddaddy!

It was a great end to a Mother's Day week!
