School Egg Hunts

Wednesday and Thursday, I attended the kid's Easter programs at school.  This was Kate's last holiday program at Good Samaritan (tear).

Wednesday was Mason and Camden's classes.  The boys started off upstairs in the auditorium to sing songs, hear the story of Easter and pray.
Camden's class was lined up along the stairs leading up the stage...I needed my zoom lens! He's at the far left.
Mason's class getting ready to sing.
 Mason praising Jesus.  So sweet!
After the program, the classes split up to hunt eggs.  Camden's class went first (I was so glad they didn't go at the same time as Mason's class).  Gigi and Birdie (Aunt Katie's mom) helped Camden gather his eggs.
 Precious little egg hunter.

Camden took a brief moment from hunting to unload his bag...one of the first eggs he had found had broken open so all he wanted to do was eat that treat!  He even pushed a couple eggs through the fence...look closely and you can see.
 I love his expression...."what?!"

After Camden's class hunted eggs, I ran to the back just in time to see Mason taking off with his bucket to hunt on the little playground.  He's getting to be more competitive and loved running all around and gathering as many eggs as he saw.

 My handsome little egg hunter.

He wasn't letting go of that bucket!
Here is the cute placemat they made for Easter:
Thursday morning was Kate's turn.  Luckily, Daddy and Mimi were both able to come and see Kate's program in addition to Gigi and Granddaddy. Kate was ready to perform and did a great job.  I was disappointed they put her on the second row so we didn't have the best view of her, but she leaned from side to side occasionally to make sure we were watching.

After her program, they started the Easter party while a few parents went out and hid the eggs.  As soon as all the eggs were hidden, Kate's class ran out on the big playground and started looking.  She had a 10 egg limit but she did a fantastic job of being content with 10 eggs and not crying.  I was very proud of her.  In fact, she ran around and selected the 10 eggs she wanted instead of grabbing the first ones she saw.  She's a funny girl.

 She's a cute egg hunter!

The kids are looking forward to a busy Easter weekend.  There's a couple more egg hunts planned and lots of fun!
