Summer 2018

It's hard to believe summer is over!  Kate attended summer camp at Killearn and Mason stayed at Good Samaritan and in between work and summer camp we managed to squeeze in some fun!
 Swimming at Camden's!
VBS at church! This year's theme was Joy by the Sea.
Daddy took us out on the boat too!

We pulled up to an island and found some neat things while we explored.

Kate and Daddy even caught a flounder!
Cheering mommy and Mrs. Marleni at the Firecracker 5K at Cascades Park on the 4th of July!

 More swimming!
 Snow cones at summer camp.
Swimming lessons!  These two both did a great job and worked hard!
Camp Musical night at Killearn - one of my favorite events of the summer!
Emily, Kate and Anna Kate - Killearn besties.
Cheering on Anna Kate at a local swim meet!
Enjoying a movie on a hot afternoon.
We attended the Crews/Sapp family reunion at the end of July in Lake Butler, FL.  No one else was able to join us this year but I'm glad we went!

The summer went by quickly but we are looking forward to the fall!

Camden and Cooper's Birthday!

This year Camden and Cooper had a combined birthday party at the Trousdell Pool.  It was the perfect Saturday morning for a pool party and we all had a great time celebrating with a shark themed party!
 Cutest cookie cake from Publix!

Happy Birthday Camden and Cooper!  We love you!

Our Newest Family Member - Maverick!

In June, we welcomed a new addition to our family, Maverick!!  The kids have been asking for a long time to get a dog and we decided they were finally big enough to be responsible and help with a puppy.  We quickly decided on a Boston Terrier and Angel Line Kennels was recommended to us.  We contacted the breeder and she put us on the waiting list at the beginning of this year.  Maverick was born on May 3rd and we were contact shortly after that to see if we were interested in the runt of the litter!  We were smitten the first time we saw pictures and a video and immediately said that was our little guy!

On Saturday, June 28th we were able to bring Maverick home and it has been a lot of fun (and work) since!  I didn't realize how demanding puppies were and how difficult it was to house train but we are making progress and he's getting better and better each week.
Going to pick up Maverick!  We met the breeder in Blountstown, FL (about an hour away).

Our precious little guy!  A little nervous but was so good on the ride home.

Don't you want to squeeze him?!

It's just been a few shorts weeks since he joined our family but in some ways it's hard to imagine what life was like before him.  Welcome to the family, Maverick!

Family Beach Pictures 2018

I have always wanted to have family pictures taken at the beach and we decided to splurge this year and do it!  Let me tell you that was even more stressful than a normal family photo shoot but I'm so glad we did it!

Amber drove over Sunday night and met us at the house to take our pictures.  We took the large family picture first because that was the most important.  Next, we let mom and dad take their pictures with the kids, then Jordan and Katie, and then us.  Whew.  It was exhausting but well worth it!

Love our big family picture!

Beach Trip 2018!

In June, we enjoyed another fun week at the beach with our family at Santa Rosa Beach!  Unfortunately, it rained and rained and we ended up leaving a day early because of the weather, but we still managed to squeeze in some fun in between storms!
Playing cornhole at the Donut Hole one morning at breakfast.

Kate begged us for this flamingo, which was the biggest hassle to bring down to the beach!
The boys enjoyed sharing the big lobster Uncle Jordan bought for them.  If Kate had a huge beach float, they needed one too!
Notice the clouds behind us...typical day at the beach that week.
Most of our daily beach trips started like this:
 And ended like this:
Rain, rain, go away!!

And the rain did let up occasionally!  And when it did, we were ready!
Sun!
One night, we took the kids to Pier Park and enjoyed a delicious dinner at The Front Porch and then a train ride and bumper boats after!

I have a feeling we will be back next year for the bumper boats.  The kids had a blast!

If we weren't at the beach, we tried to make the most of our time by doing a little shopping.  We didn't much at all on these trips but it was fun to window shop.

So thankful we were able to spend a week at the beach - rain or shine!

Happy Father's Day!

I want to wish this special guy a Happy Father's Day!  One day Kate and Mason will realize how lucky they are to call him dad.  He coac...
