T-Ball/Softball 2018

We had another great season of t-ball and softball!

This year, Uncle Jordan and Coach Kyle coached the Red Sox t-ball team at Roberts.  The boys played hard and won most, if not all, of their games!  We had a couple return players and Mason made several new friends.  It'll be fun this fall in Kindergarten because he will see lots of familiar faces from t-ball.

Kate had a fantastic season on the Crushers this year.  Since daddy helped with Mason's team last year, he volunteered to coach Kate's team this year along with Coach Robert (Anna Kate's dad) and Coach Shawn (Addison Snipes' dad).  The girls had a wonderful season and almost stayed undefeated.  The very last game (which was played in the outfield because the fields were flooded) was a tough loss, but I think the girls were more excited about pizza and cupcakes after the game instead of winning. :)  Can you blame them?!

So proud of these two!  They played hard and most importantly, had good attitudes and had fun!

Kindergarten Orientation

How is it time for Mason to be getting ready to go to Kindergarten??!!  This morning we attended the Kindergarten Orientation at Roberts.  I think he was a little apprehensive on the way because he was furiously sucking his thumb on the car ride.  But once we arrived, he saw a few friendly faces and enjoyed the tour of the school.  We even saw Kate during our tour in the library!

Working at a center in Mrs. Pettway's class.

These two had a great time on the tour today.  They are ready for Kindergarten to start!

Easter Pictures!

Once again, one of the kids was sick during bunny pictures, but Mrs. Betsy was so sweet to meet me at the Alford Greenway one afternoon for a quick makeup session.  I always love these mini sessions and having cute pictures for my yearly calendar!

Both Kate and Mason put on their best smiles and we ended up getting some cute pictures!  Thank you, Mrs. Betsy!

The cutest little egg hunters!

Easter 2018

It was another wonderful Easter with our friends and family and lots of egg hunts!  Our first egg hunt of the year was the church egg hunt.  We first went downstairs so the kids could watch the puppet show that the Lads to Leaders group would be preforming at the convention the following week.
 Ready to hunt eggs!

Later that afternoon, we went over to Ms. Kim's house to hunt more eggs with friends!

Mrs. Betsy always does a great job capturing a group picture of all the kids.  It grows bigger and bigger each year!

The week of Easter, Mason had his (final) Easter program as school.  All the kids put on a great performance.

We were excited that Granddaddy, Gigi and Mimi were all able to come too!

And of course Mommy wasn't going to miss it!
He found a bunch of eggs!

The Saturday before Easter, we went over to my parent's house for our annual Easter egg hunt!  It's one of my favorite events of the year.

 Dying Easter eggs!

We let Cooper hunt his eggs before the bigger kids took off.  He did a great job gathering all the egg he saw!

And since the big kids included mommy and daddy, I didn't get any pictures of the kids hunting eggs.  Uncle Jordan and crew gave us some tough competition this year!

A big thank you to my parents for all our Easter treats and a fantastic dinner!

On Sunday, the Easter Bunny dropped off a few goodies for Kate and Mason.  Chocolate bunnies, snickers, beach towels, nail polish, nerf guns, new toothbrushes and toothpaste and other toys.

We enjoyed a nice service at church and then we were off to another annual tradition - lunch at the FSU University Center.  This is another one of my favorite traditions.  Lunch is always delicious and each year the event gets bigger and better.  They changed the location this year from the ballroom to the brand new Champions Club.  It is SO nice but probably the only time I will ever be in there.  Haha. After lunch, the kids loved visiting with the Easter Bunny in the huge kids area that had some of the best face painters and balloon makers I have seen! For some reason neither one of mine wanted to get their face painted this year.

Mason decided at the last minute he would see the Easter Bunny.  Afterwards he told me, "That wasn't scary at all!".  I know, silly boy.

After a filling lunch, we went back home for a couple hours until we went to meet Mimi and Papa for dinner at Roadhouse.  It was a wonderful Easter!

Happy Father's Day!

I want to wish this special guy a Happy Father's Day!  One day Kate and Mason will realize how lucky they are to call him dad.  He coac...
