Kate is SEVEN!! Since her actual birthday was on a Saturday, we started her birthday celebrations on Friday at school. Justin went and ate lunch with her at school (brought her Chick-fil-a of course) and I brought a cookie cake later that afternoon to celebrate with all her classmates.
Wearing her "I'm the Birthday Girl" shirt
Her special request - a smiley face heart cookie cake.
Celebrating with my girl at Roberts.
Friday night, we had our annual family birthday dinner at Red Elephant. Justin was in charge of the pictures this year based on his close proximity to the birthday girl - I'll just say they speak for themselves.
Opening presents:
A movie gift card from Mimi and Papa
Lokai bracelets and money for her savings account from Nanny
The Shopkins Ice Cream Truck from Gigi and Granddaddy
Loving on Mason - she was overwhelmed with joy. :)

We had a wonderful time celebrating our big 7 year old!
On Saturday, Kate celebrated with her friends at Trousdell Gymnastics Center.
What.A.Party!
We invited 20 of Kate's friends and 14 were able to come so we had a great turnout! This was the first time we had done a gymnastics party and it was a lot of fun.
A few pictures with the birthday girl before the party...
Audrey, Quinn and Kate
The party started with a game for the coaches to try to learn all the girls' names - I was impressed at how many they remembered.
Next up was the foam pit - one of the best places to play in the whole gym.

Erinn (a new friend in Kate's class this year)

Becuase Kate hadn't had enough fun this weekend (joking), we asked Audrey and Izzy if they wanted to spend the night after the party. Our first "official" spent the night experience. Mason was having his own boys night at Gigi and Granddaddy's with Camden that night.
Daddy drove the girls home while I picked up dinner. He said there was a lot of squealing!

I was exhausted by the time the party was done, but we had a great time!
Happy 7th Birthday, Kate! We love you!
