We had a very relaxing 4th of July weekend, which was just what we all needed. On Saturday morning, Mailin and I took the kids to see the Finding Dory movie (super cute!). That afternoon, Aunt Katie and Uncle Jordan invited us over to see their new house and then go swimming at the Olk's. We had a cookout and enjoyed some family time at the pool.
Snuggling with Cooper:
They both had on navy and lime green outfits - twins!
Goofing off before they were allowed in the pool:
On Sunday afternoon, we enjoyed some time in our backyard pool. This is becoming one of my favorite summer activities. I don't have to worry (as much) about the kids in the pool and ours is big enough for the whole family to enjoy!
On Monday, I ran in the Firecracker 5K again at Cascades Park. This marked my one year anniversary of running in 5ks. It was incredibly hot and humid, even at 7:30 am, but it was still a lot of fun. Not my fastest time but I had the best cheering section and a great running buddy. Plus, eating a huge breakfast after wards at Cracker Barrel is worth it!
I love seeing them cheer me on during the race!
Marleni and I.
Monday evening, my parents invited us over for dinner. I had to take a couple pictures of the kids in their 4th of July outfits!
Love them SO much!
Happy 4th of July!
