We have had a very busy Easter week and weekend. On Wednesday, I went to Good Samaritan for Mason's Easter program. He did a great job and afterwards, we went back to his classroom for a party and egg hunt. Both Gigi and Mimi were also able to come and join in the fun!
Ready for the show to begin!
Singing his heart out.
My handsome boy.
Back in his classroom, we saw the cute placemats they had made.
After a quick class party, we took off outside for the egg hunt. Mason walked away with four eggs. Not a typo - only four. He wasn't in a hurry. Haha.
Thank you to Gigi and Mimi for joining us.
My little egg hunter.
On Friday, I joined Kate at her school for her class party and egg hunt. The bad weather started in on Friday so we had to move the egg hunt indoors.
They're off!
In a matter of a few minutes, they had found all two hundred and fifty eggs.

Ramsie, Cole and Ellie counting their eggs.
Mason, Eden and Zoe.
Sterling, Brayden and Chase.
Jasmine, Gentry and Kate enjoying their snacks.
Caroline, Sterling, Kate and Stella.
Before I left, Kate wanted to show me her recent school project:
This is the "spotted" rabbit Kate drew. I made the mistake of saying she was polka dotted.
"This is Jody. It is a girl. She likes to eat tomatoes. Jody also likes to dig."
While Kate was at school, Mason got to hang out with Gigi and Granddaddy since daycare was closed. They ran a few errands and had a good time at Bass Pro.
Friday night, we took the kids to Bass Pro to see the Easter Bunny. Mason did a lot a big talking on the way there. He said he was going to stand by the Easter Bunny and hold his hand but by the time we got there, it was a different story. Mason started screaming "I'm scared" and refused to go anywhere near the Easter Bunny. Maybe next year...
Such a cute photo!
Easter Photo 2016.
He opted to just do the bunny bookmark this year.
Saturday was another rainy day. I ran in the Florida High 5k Fun Run that my co-worker Marleni organized (no picture due to the bad weather and a stressed race director) and then we hung out at the house until it was time for our annual friend egg hunt. Once again, Mrs. Betsy offered to host it at her house since it was raining.
This picture makes me laugh:
Listening to the rules.
Can't let them loose without forcing a group photo first:
Success!
Thank you Mrs. Betsy for hosting us!
After the party, we headed over to Kendal Covan's 5th birthday at the nail salon. It was a rainy night but the girls had a great time being pampered and then went to Red Elephant for dinner. I'm going to have to remember that idea for one of Kate's future parties.
Getting pampered! She picked a pretty sparkly blue which matched her Easter dress.
Today was another gloomy day but we didn't let that dampen our mood. We had a great time at church, celebrated at the University Club for lunch and then had dinner with Mimi and Papa to celebrate his birthday a day early.
The Easter Bunny dropped off some treats!
After church we went to the University Club for our annual Easter lunch with our family and the Olks.
Katie boo and the Easter Bunny (no Mason, again).
They always love the face painting and balloon animals.
Camden the dragon.
Batman Mason and his horse balloon.
Rainbow Bunny Kate with her pink elephant balloon.
The girls visited the Easter Bunny one more time before leaving.
Happy Easter from the Evers!
This evening we met Mimi and Papa at Texas Roadhouse to enjoy dinner together and celebrate Papa's birthday.
Kate's drawing in Papa's birthday card:
Happy Birthday Papa!
We have had a fun filled Easter week and weekend. I'm glad it's over because I'm worn out! Hope everyone had a great Easter!
