I have only done one post so far in March...shame on me. Since it's the end of the month now, I better post a few updates as to what we have been up to!
The first weekend in March, I enjoyed a girls weekend in Seaside with Marleni, Jillian, and Kim (all work friends). Marleni and I had signed up for the Vera Bradley Seaside 5K back in September and decided to make a weekend out of the event. We all had a wonderful time shopping, eating and wrapped up the weekend with the run on Sunday.
Ready to run!

Every runner receives a Vera Bradely bag at the end of the race (with over 5,000 runners). The girls and I stayed in San Destin that weekend to avoid the crowds in Seaside. Plus, it was the first weekend of spring break rates at the beach so most places wanted a week long rental commitment. Yikes. We ended up renting a condo in Baytowne, which was the perfect location. It would have been nice to stay the whole week but it was cold and our own spring break was within a few weeks.
A week after the race was Leon County's spring break. We did not travel anywhere this year since we had just gone out to Texas at Christmas and I needed to save most of my vacation days for this summer! Mimi watched Kate on Monday and Tuesday, Daddy stayed home with her on Wednesday, and I took off Thursday and Friday. On Thursday we had a girls day and on Friday, I kept Mason home too!
Field Day at Roberts on the Friday before Spring Break!
The Sunday of Spring Break, Kate was invited to Audrey's 8th birthday party! Audrey had a puff paint party and the girls enjoyed dinner at Carrabba's (Kate's first time going there).
Here they were at Audrey's first birthday party...
Where did our babies go?!
On Tuesday evening, Kate and I met my two girlfriends, Ashleigh-Anne and Betsy, and their daughters for a "girls dinner". Ashleigh Anne recently moved out to Texas so it was so good to see her while she was in town and catch up!

All the girls!
As odd as it was, the week of Spring Break felt more like Winter Break. It was freezing!! One morning that week, Jillian and I ended up wearing the same outfit to work - haha.
The first day I was off with Kate, we went up to Royal Nail Spa for pedicures.
She loves getting her nails painted! I still have a gift card left so I promised her we would go back sometime soon and use it.
On Friday, Sterling invited us to meet her at Sky Zone. While we were there, we ran into Caiome and Mrs. Pettway (Kate's Kindergarten teacher). The girls had a great time jumping.

Mason enjoyed jumping with Rhiannon too!
On Saturday, we were invited to dinner at the Jesse and Katie Goram's house. The kids had a great time playing with their two girls, Rossi and Bobbi Kate. It was so good to reconnect with old friends and I told them next time we won't let our get togethers be years apart.

Maybe next year we will plan a fun spring break trip but I think this year it was nice to hang out in town and with friends! April is going to be a busy month...tball and softball games start, the Easter Bunny comes for a visit and who knows what else will be going on!
